Everything I get asked

Questions, answered

These are the 28 questions that come up most in my Instagram DMs, written out so you do not have to ask. Delivery is a flat Rs 200 anywhere in Pakistan and free over Rs 2,500, cash on delivery works nationwide, and you have 7 days from delivery to change your mind. If your question is not here, message me at @luxebyzee__ and I will answer it myself.

Delivery

Do you deliver outside Karachi?

Yes. I make everything in Karachi and post it anywhere in Pakistan by courier for a flat Rs 200, or free on orders of Rs 2,500 and above. Peshawar orders are made by our maker in the city and delivered the same day. Elsewhere, allow 1 to 2 working days to make and pack a piece.

How long does delivery take to Lahore or Islamabad?

Plan on 3 to 5 working days from the moment you order. Lahore and Islamabad both sit on the main courier routes, so a parcel usually spends 2 to 3 days in transit after the 1 to 2 working days I need to make it and hand it over.

How long does delivery take inside Karachi?

A Karachi parcel reaches you 1 to 2 working days after it leaves the studio. Because every piece is made to order, allow another 1 to 2 working days before dispatch, so 2 to 4 working days in total counting from when you place the order.

How much does delivery cost?

A flat Rs 200 anywhere in Pakistan, whether you are in Karachi or Gilgit and whether you buy one bracelet or six. Spend Rs 2,500 or more and I cover it, so delivery is free on larger orders and on most gift sets of three pieces.

When will my order be dispatched?

Pieces from the shop leave within 1 to 2 working days. A custom piece takes 3 to 5 days to make before it is dispatched. Either way I message you on Instagram the moment the parcel is handed to the courier, so you are never left guessing.

Payment

Is cash on delivery available?

Yes, cash on delivery works across Pakistan at no extra charge. You pay the courier in cash when the parcel arrives. Couriers rarely carry change, so please keep the exact amount ready, including the Rs 200 delivery charge if your order is under Rs 2,500.

Can I pay by bank transfer instead?

Yes. Pick bank transfer at checkout and the account details appear on the confirmation screen. Send the amount, then message me the screenshot on Instagram. I confirm every transfer by hand, usually within a few hours, and start making your piece the same day it clears.

Do you accept cards, Easypaisa or JazzCash?

Not yet. I take cash on delivery and bank transfer only, because a card gateway costs more each month than a shop this size can carry. If you would rather pay digitally, a bank transfer works from any Pakistani banking app, including Easypaisa and JazzCash accounts.

Sizing

How do I measure my wrist for a bracelet?

Wrap a strip of thread once around your wrist just below the wrist bone, snug but not tight. Mark where the thread meets itself, lay it flat along a ruler, and read the centimetres. That number is your wrist measurement, and it goes in the wrist size box.

What are your bracelet sizes in centimetres?

Small is 15 cm, medium is 17 cm and large is 19 cm, measured as the finished bracelet. Medium fits most adult women. If your wrist falls between two sizes, or you like a looser fit, type your exact measurement in instead and I will make it to that.

Which size should I pick if I am gifting?

Choose medium, 17 cm. It fits most adult women and it is the size I make most often. If you can borrow a bracelet she already wears, measure it flat and send me the number on Instagram. A sizing swap within 7 days of delivery costs nothing.

What if the bracelet arrives too tight or too loose?

Message me on Instagram within 7 days of delivery and I will resize it. Elastic pieces get restrung to your measurement, clasp pieces get links added or taken out. Send it back unworn and I remake it and post it out, so you only cover the return postage.

Care

Are the bracelets waterproof?

No. Glass beads and pearls survive a splash, but nylon cord and gold-tone plating do not like repeated soaking. Take the bracelet off before you shower, swim or wash dishes. Kept dry, an everyday beaded bracelet holds its colour and its stretch for years of wear.

Can I wear a beaded bracelet during wudu?

I would slip it off. Water needs to reach the skin underneath, and repeated wetting is what wears out elastic cord and dulls gold-tone plating faster than anything else does. A stretch bracelet rolls off in a second. Dry your wrist before you put it back on.

Do the pearls tarnish?

The pearls themselves do not, but the gold-tone chain and spacers beside them can dull over a year or two, and Karachi humidity speeds that up. Perfume, hairspray and hand sanitiser are the worst offenders. Put jewellery on last, wipe it after wear, store it closed away.

How do I clean a beaded bracelet?

Dampen a soft cloth with plain water, wring it almost dry, and wipe along the strand bead by bead. Dry it with a second cloth and leave it flat for ten minutes before storing. No soap, no hot water, no jewellery dip. The whole job takes five minutes.

How should I store beaded jewellery in Karachi humidity?

Keep each piece in a closed pouch or a small zip bag with the air pressed out, in a drawer well away from the bathroom. Damp coastal air is what dulls gold-tone findings. Store pieces flat and separately so chains cannot tangle and beads cannot rub each other.

Custom orders

Can I order a custom name bracelet, and what does it cost?

Yes, names and initials are the request I get most. Custom pieces sit in the same Rs 220 to Rs 450 range as the shop, and the exact price depends on how many letters you want and which beads you choose. I quote it on Instagram before you pay anything.

How long does a custom piece take?

Allow 3 to 5 days for me to make it, then the usual delivery window on top: 1 to 2 working days inside Karachi, 3 to 5 working days elsewhere in Pakistan. If you have a date to hit, say so when you message and I will tell you honestly whether it fits.

Can I get Urdu letters on a bracelet?

Yes. I weave Urdu letters bead by bead rather than using stamped letter beads, so send me the exact spelling on Instagram and I will send a photo of the woven letters back before I finish the piece. Longer words need a longer bracelet, which I size for you.

Do you take bulk orders or mehndi favours?

Yes, and they are some of my favourite orders to make. Message me on Instagram with the quantity, the colours and the date you need them by. A set of twenty takes far longer than one piece, so give me at least two weeks and we will agree a price.

Returns and repairs

What is your return policy?

You have 7 days from delivery to ask for a return or an exchange. Pieces must come back unworn and unaltered with the original card. Refunds go out within 5 working days of the piece reaching me, by bank transfer for cash on delivery orders. Delivery charges are not refunded.

How do I start a return?

Message me on Instagram with your order number and what went wrong, and I reply with instructions within one working day. If the piece is faulty or is not what you ordered, tell me within 48 hours of delivery and I cover every cost involved in putting it right.

What happens if my bracelet breaks?

Send me a photo on Instagram. If a cord snaps or a clasp fails within 7 days of delivery that counts as a fault, and I repair or remake the piece at my own cost. After that window I will still restring it for you, and you cover the postage both ways.

The pieces themselves

What are the bracelets made of?

Glass seed beads, freshwater-look pearls, enamel charms, and gold-tone or rose-gold-tone chain and findings. Stretch pieces are strung on nylon cord and the rest close with a lobster clasp. Every listing names its own materials, because the mix changes from one piece to the next.

Do you gift wrap?

Every order arrives on a printed Luxe by Zee card inside a small pouch, ready to hand over as it is. If you want a handwritten note, or the parcel addressed to the person receiving it rather than to you, write that in the order note at checkout.

Is there a minimum order?

No. Order a single Rs 220 bracelet and I make and post it like any other order. The only number worth knowing is Rs 2,500, which is where delivery stops costing Rs 200, so three small pieces together often work out cheaper than buying them one at a time.

Do you make necklaces and rings?

They are coming. The shop holds bracelets, charms and a beaded bookmark for now, because those are what I can make consistently while it is new. If you want a necklace or a ring before they go live, message me on Instagram and I will make it as a custom piece.
